House of Flowers has carefully sought out growers who create and grow flowers with passion and dedication, not just to their flowers but to all aspects of nature and the environment.
Over the years we have established strong ties with our select growers who are all leaders in sustainability, using organic products and techniques for growing, re-using water, packaging in a conscious way and even sourcing natural energy for heating.
The use of energy, pesticides and polluting materials is strictly controlled in Holland and our UK growers follow suit. All our growers are registered with the government agency that supervises and provides a rating on their sustainability activities which affect the environment.
We work primarily with A or A+ classified growers and are conscious of constantly trying to improve this.
Furthermore, our flowers are delivered to us directly, usually within 24 hours of cutting, and this exceptional freshness allows us to avoid the necessity for storing and energy-consuming refrigerators.
This organic approach continues through every aspect of our work. Our packaging is sourced with Forest Stewardship Council certification which guarantees products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits.
